Description
Whether you’re a knot novice or a knot pro, this clinic has content for you. In this hands-on clinic, learn knots for personal anchors, rappelling, and edge protection. For each context, several options will be discussed and practiced.

Goals
Introduce the basics of rope craft, including materials and terminology.
Expand options for knots and hitches relevant to climbing in the following situations:
Attach yourself to rope/anchor
Join ropes for a longer rappel
Create edge protection
Required Gear - you will provide this gear, or rent it from TRC
Climbing harness
Optional Gear - we will provide this gear, you are welcome to use your own
Slings, nylon and dyneema
Carabiners, locking
Gri-Gri
Friction hitch loop
Note: TRC’s shop stocks all of the gear we use in our clinic.
